The problem, in six numbers.

Six numbers on the organisation, three on the digital layer. Each carries its source.

A tool wish-list, not a roadmap.

European CPOs without a clear transformation roadmap, and 48% cannot prove commercial ROI.

Siloed ways of working, ranked first.

The number-one barrier to value delivery named by chief procurement officers.

Governance on paper.

Procurement and finance leaders who call maverick spending a major source of cost leakage.

The digital layer, in three numbers.

Tools, AI, adoption.

AI, short of production.

Adoption, not ambition.

Cite resistance to change, from concerns about AI replacing human judgment, as a barrier to scaling.

Five services.

No priority order: they combine, and one usually opens the next.

Procurement maturity and transformation roadmaps

A sequenced, costed plan built on your spend data and your teams, ready for your CFO and CIO to sign.

Data, BI and AI applied to procurement

Spend visibility, clean master data, and AI use cases that reach production, with human validation on every decision.

Category strategy and supplier partnerships

Category strategies, supplier segmentation and an SRM framework with KPIs, where the relationship carries the value.

Risk and supply continuity

Single-source exposure mapped, crisis playbooks tested with operations, and contracts that keep supply running.

Negotiation and contracting

Framework agreements, e-auctions and software terms negotiated with exit and reversibility clauses. No vendor commission.

How I work.

The same method, whatever the mission.

  1. Start from business goals and facts.

Spend data, interviews and the people who do the work. Tools come after, never first.

  2. Prioritise what pays.

Foundations first (process, data, governance), then quick wins with measurable value.

  3. Deliver with your teams.

Hands-on, alongside business, IT and leadership, not slides from a distance.

  4. Make it stick.

Clear owners, simple KPIs, and teams able to run it without me.

Every recommendation is tied to at least one value lever: savings, quality, speed, innovation or risk.

About.

Raphaël Munck

I’m Raphaël. For more than 12 years I have worked on the buying side of large organisations: from a plant in South Africa to global categories at GSK and Solvay, a global team at the ICRC and the United Nations at WIPO. I have managed raw materials, components, MRO, CAPEX and services, and led transformations: centralisation, operating model redesign, rebuilding collaboration between HQ and the field.

Today I help companies raise the maturity of their procurement and make it more digital, resilient and measurable. I am also an entrepreneur at heart, with three companies co-founded.

Outside work, I live in Annecy with my partner Héléna, between the lake and the mountains. I am from Bordeaux, and I am very close to my family. I love the outdoors and strong sensations: scuba diving, the mountains, Thai boxing, with one official fight in Thailand, and skydiving. I am a certified skydiver, and I try to get involved in the causes that matter to me, starting with the environment.
